Smart women are mad as hell right now.

We’ve been shocked—some of us into a white-hot fury—over the cruel actions of a band of entitled, self-serving broligarchs intent on reversing decades of progress.

As we wrestle with the role we want to play in the world, one thing remains true: we can learn from the women who’ve gone before us.

Radical Women who defied the norms of their time to fight for their beliefs (or are doing it right now). Radical Women who challenged authority—and won. Radical Women who inspire us to step into the best version of ourselves.

The Radical Women Book Club from Rochelle Moulton debuts May 1, 2025.

Every month, we’ll read a powerful non-fiction book showcasing a radical woman (expect a weekly, thought-provoking piece on our current book). Paid subscribers can participate in on-line discussions and will be invited to join me in a live Zoom conversation with the author (when possible) or if not, a more intimate virtual book club meeting.

Do consider purchasing your books from your favorite independent bookstore. Or you can use these links to my bookstore.org page which supports independent book sellers.

About me.

I’m a writer, a business coach and an 8+ year podcaster (my latest is here).

But most importantly, I’m a lifetime Reader (yes, that capital R is intentional). Books were my first beloved companions. They helped me make sense of the world—first as an escape from my chaotic upbringing with a mentally ill mother, and then to get inspired by what was possible in a world beyond my small town.

All that reading was pivotal to the adventurous and creative life I’ve been able to craft for myself (if you want to help a girl, give her a book that shows her who she can aspire to be).

I’ve been drawn to the stories of real, kick-ass women (aka Radical Women) whose stories have been meticulously researched and beautifully told by their female biographers. They take up space—big, glorious space—that historically has been devoted to men.

As I was describing Sonia Purnell’s latest (Kingmaker: Pamela Harriman’s Astonishing Life of Power, Seduction and Intrigue), to a friend, I had a visceral longing to discuss the book—and others like it—in more depth with a group.

I wanted to create a space where we could be reminded that ours is not the only moment in time where it feels like all we know and love is at risk. A space that reminds us that women are heroes too: brave, bold, wise, insistent leaders during chaos.

The Radical Women Book Club is for women who want to act bravely, to fight for what’s right and not let anyone tell us to sit down and shut up.

I invite you to join us.
